The Day after...

Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday. It is a day that most people in the United States spend with family and friends. It kind of funny that we think we have to have a special day to be with people we love. Sometimes some of our friends and family members come from other states around the world to be together on Thanksgiving Day.

As much as possible, I believe we should take every opportunity to be with family and friends. This closeness is lost to our society. Alone time is just as important.

Thanksgiving has history. We remember the indigenous people as well as the first settlers who according to the history books had a meal of Thanksgiving together. When the day ends, most of us return to our lives of not communicating with friends. Let us give thanks not just on a specific day. Let us give thanks for the many blessings that we receive everyday.

Meditation: contemplate on, I give thanks for all of my blessings everyday. I am grateful. Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Go into the silence for at least for 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran
