Happy Mother's Day!

Mother... even the word or name suggests love and nourishment. Today, we honor and recognize our mothers whether they are with us in this dimension or through the veil in the heavenly realm. For those who read this and say that they did not get a lot of nourishment from their mothers, you still can honor your mother for the fact that she carried you within her body where you survived and you are here now. So I give honor to my mother who is in the heavenly realm. I am strong because of who you were here on earth, mother.

Happy Mother's Day!

Dedicated To All Mothers and those who mothered children.

Just love me for who I am, a person who thrives on love.
Just love me for who I am, a mother who loves passionately her significant other, her children, her grands, her friends and all of life.
Just love me for who I am, a teacher, a counselor, a cook and much more.
You see, I am so much more than what is written here.
Just love me for who I am, I am a spark of the Divine.

Snow is a blessing...depends on how you see it!

Snow is precipitation in the form of flakes of crystalline water ice  that falls
 from clouds.~Wikipedia

If you have to go out when it is snowing, some of us do not see the beauty in the snow. I had a view like this about 3 or so weeks ago. I did not make it back home from Whole Foods before the hugh snow fall. I did not see the beauty in the snow that day. Briefly, I was ungrateful for the snow and everything that surrounded the weather.

Thank God, I seek the silence everyday. I had plenty of time to reflect and realize how blessed I am. It was yesterday while the snow was falling that each flake had a unique beauty because each flake was different. I could clearly see that each flake was a different size and shape. There is something about snow...and I mean a large amount of it that silence the street from its usual noise. It is in the silence where all possibilities are. It is when one can think deeply. It is where peace, love and joy lives. I was grateful for the art that was formed by the snowflakes coming together to cover the branches of the trees in unique ways. I reached for my phone camera and began taking pictures and videos of the snow fall. I had a chance to just be...be in the presence that I call God.

It was time well spent. I am grateful that I can see the snowflakes. I am grateful for the way the noise comes to a halt. I am grateful for the ups and downs of life. No, I could not make my dental appointment yesterday because my driveway was not shoveled and the office where I was going closed for the day. It all worked out and I had more time to spend in my personal snow art gallery. In all things, there is much to be grateful for, even weather we do not particularly want to travel in.

Contemplation: In all things, there is much to be grateful for.

Affirmation: In all situations, there is much to be grateful for. You only have to look.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep breaths. Go into the silence for at least 3 minutes.

If Only for A Moment...

Humans were meant to reach out, interact with, and just be with each other. It's our natural state of being.  A New York photographer set out to get people who never met until the moment before he took pictures of them to demonstrate this point. The subjects said that they were awkward at first but after the photo was taken all of the subjects expressed that they felt a connection to these strangers that they had just met, if only for a moment.

Take a look at this amazing video below:

Meditation
Contemplation: The human family and I are connected.
Affirmation: Since I know I am connected to the human family as well as all of life, it only takes a moment to become aware of that connection for me to feel complete.
Path to Silence: Take 3 deep breaths then go into the silence for at least 3 minutes.

Simply Grateful!

Gratitude: To appreciate; to be thankful; to be thankful to and for Source the provider of all things. Frances Johnson

Recognition: I recognize Source, the Magnificent "Presence" that I call God. This Presence is in and flows through and expresses as all things made.

Unification: I am one with this Presence. Since this Presence is whole, perfect and complete and I am made in Its image then, I am whole, perfect and complete. That wholeness is my very nature. I know this to be true for me and so this is true of every being.

Realization: With God's presence all is well. All is perfect. All is complete. God is everywhere present, so, I realize what a fantastic day this is.

Thankfulness: And so, I give thanks for today and everyday. I give thanks that our government is reopened. I give thanks for those without jobs that may return to their jobs and others will find jobs. I am thankful for those retired who receive pensions and social security that their benefits have been restored. I am thankful for the return of services that were unknown to us to be affected by the shutdown of our government. I am thankful for all beings and all things made on the earth. I am grateful to know that the peace, love, and joy within me touches everyone and everything in the world, the earth and the cosmos.

Release: I release these words into the law knowing that each word is fulfilled. I let go and let God. And So It Is.

Meditation

Contemplation: Gratefulness.

Affirmation: From the depth of my soul, I am grateful.

Path to Silence: Take a few cleansing breaths and then sit quietly going into that place of all possibilities, where you ask for nothing, there is no need, there is just love. Sit in the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Who do you trust...another person or the Divine?

Today our minister gave a message which was based on part of her spiritual journey that took her to India. Aside from being elated that she was safe and returned back to us, we waited and hung onto every word that she had to say.

There was a trust walk that she experienced that she chose to share with us. She was blindfolded and could not see where she was walking. She had a compassionate spiritual guide there every step of the way. She came through this amazing experience not without realizing where her trust lie.

Her trust was in the Divine. She could have trusted her spiritual guide. As I listened to this great share, I thought to myself, what if she placed her trust in a person. A person could himself/herself depending on what is going on with them, fall or trip. The Divine within you always has your back. This wise lady put her trust in the Divine within herself.

The Divine is within all of us. Always trust the Divine within you.

Meditation

Contemplate on: I am trust.

Affirmation: Trust is within me. It is always available through the Divine in me and I am secure in the arms of the Divine.

Path to Silence: Breathe deeply...know that the exhale is the Divine. Take 3 deep cleansing breaths and go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

How heavy is the glass of water?

There was a poster on Facebook  with a lesson that was taught by a psychologist on stress.

The psychologist held up a glass of water and the audience thought that she was going to ask if the glass of water was half full or half empty. Instead she asked how heavy is the glass of water. Now the audience thought that the psychology wanted answers like 4oz or 8oz. These are not the answers that the psychologist was looking for.

The psychologist then said if you hold the this glass of water for a minute, it would feel light. If you hold the glass for an hour the same glass of water would make your arm feel tired. The psychologist further stated if you hold this same glass of water for a day, your arm would become numb. The water in the glass is like stress or things that one holds in their heart. To get rid of this stress...the psychologist suggested to remember to set the glass down.

What a great stress release exercise and a great way to show when we hold onto emotions and feelings that do not serve us they weigh us down and we must release them. I am adding to this exercise that forgiveness comes into the picture. Forgive, release and let go...

Meditation

Contemplate on: My heart feels heavy so I must set the glass down.

Affirmation: I forgive myself first then others and allow myself to release and let go.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths and go into the silence for at least 3 minutes.

Digging deeper...

When we are doing spiritual work on ourselves we have to dig deep within.

As we dig deeper sometimes there is pain. Covering up the pain by denial does not help. We must go through the pain and we will come out stronger. This helps us to suffer less. When we tell ourselves the truth about how we feel about what may be bothering us, we are on the road to healing.

We are loving ourselves when we are honest with ourselves. We can then release and let go.

Meditation

Contemplate on: The Source is always with me.

Affirm: Source lives within me. I only have to ask it into my life.

Path to Silence: Breathe...notice your breath...take 3 deep cleansing breaths and go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran
