If Only for A Moment...

Humans were meant to reach out, interact with, and just be with each other. It's our natural state of being.  A New York photographer set out to get people who never met until the moment before he took pictures of them to demonstrate this point. The subjects said that they were awkward at first but after the photo was taken all of the subjects expressed that they felt a connection to these strangers that they had just met, if only for a moment.

Take a look at this amazing video below:

Meditation
Contemplation: The human family and I are connected.
Affirmation: Since I know I am connected to the human family as well as all of life, it only takes a moment to become aware of that connection for me to feel complete.
Path to Silence: Take 3 deep breaths then go into the silence for at least 3 minutes.

Simply Grateful!

Gratitude: To appreciate; to be thankful; to be thankful to and for Source the provider of all things. Frances Johnson

Recognition: I recognize Source, the Magnificent "Presence" that I call God. This Presence is in and flows through and expresses as all things made.

Unification: I am one with this Presence. Since this Presence is whole, perfect and complete and I am made in Its image then, I am whole, perfect and complete. That wholeness is my very nature. I know this to be true for me and so this is true of every being.

Realization: With God's presence all is well. All is perfect. All is complete. God is everywhere present, so, I realize what a fantastic day this is.

Thankfulness: And so, I give thanks for today and everyday. I give thanks that our government is reopened. I give thanks for those without jobs that may return to their jobs and others will find jobs. I am thankful for those retired who receive pensions and social security that their benefits have been restored. I am thankful for the return of services that were unknown to us to be affected by the shutdown of our government. I am thankful for all beings and all things made on the earth. I am grateful to know that the peace, love, and joy within me touches everyone and everything in the world, the earth and the cosmos.

Release: I release these words into the law knowing that each word is fulfilled. I let go and let God. And So It Is.

Meditation

Contemplation: Gratefulness.

Affirmation: From the depth of my soul, I am grateful.

Path to Silence: Take a few cleansing breaths and then sit quietly going into that place of all possibilities, where you ask for nothing, there is no need, there is just love. Sit in the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Who do you trust...another person or the Divine?

Today our minister gave a message which was based on part of her spiritual journey that took her to India. Aside from being elated that she was safe and returned back to us, we waited and hung onto every word that she had to say.

There was a trust walk that she experienced that she chose to share with us. She was blindfolded and could not see where she was walking. She had a compassionate spiritual guide there every step of the way. She came through this amazing experience not without realizing where her trust lie.

Her trust was in the Divine. She could have trusted her spiritual guide. As I listened to this great share, I thought to myself, what if she placed her trust in a person. A person could himself/herself depending on what is going on with them, fall or trip. The Divine within you always has your back. This wise lady put her trust in the Divine within herself.

The Divine is within all of us. Always trust the Divine within you.

Meditation

Contemplate on: I am trust.

Affirmation: Trust is within me. It is always available through the Divine in me and I am secure in the arms of the Divine.

Path to Silence: Breathe deeply...know that the exhale is the Divine. Take 3 deep cleansing breaths and go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

How heavy is the glass of water?

There was a poster on Facebook  with a lesson that was taught by a psychologist on stress.

The psychologist held up a glass of water and the audience thought that she was going to ask if the glass of water was half full or half empty. Instead she asked how heavy is the glass of water. Now the audience thought that the psychology wanted answers like 4oz or 8oz. These are not the answers that the psychologist was looking for.

The psychologist then said if you hold the this glass of water for a minute, it would feel light. If you hold the glass for an hour the same glass of water would make your arm feel tired. The psychologist further stated if you hold this same glass of water for a day, your arm would become numb. The water in the glass is like stress or things that one holds in their heart. To get rid of this stress...the psychologist suggested to remember to set the glass down.

What a great stress release exercise and a great way to show when we hold onto emotions and feelings that do not serve us they weigh us down and we must release them. I am adding to this exercise that forgiveness comes into the picture. Forgive, release and let go...

Meditation

Contemplate on: My heart feels heavy so I must set the glass down.

Affirmation: I forgive myself first then others and allow myself to release and let go.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths and go into the silence for at least 3 minutes.

Digging deeper...

When we are doing spiritual work on ourselves we have to dig deep within.

As we dig deeper sometimes there is pain. Covering up the pain by denial does not help. We must go through the pain and we will come out stronger. This helps us to suffer less. When we tell ourselves the truth about how we feel about what may be bothering us, we are on the road to healing.

We are loving ourselves when we are honest with ourselves. We can then release and let go.

Meditation

Contemplate on: The Source is always with me.

Affirm: Source lives within me. I only have to ask it into my life.

Path to Silence: Breathe...notice your breath...take 3 deep cleansing breaths and go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Are you ready?

When you begin to see your dreams manifest before your very eyes, it is something to see and is quite emotional.

Getting a certification as a coach was but a "foolish idea" to quote Dr. Will Coleman. Yet, I pursued my dream and it is now a reality for me. This is not the end for me. I asked Spirit, now what.

One of my friends on Facebook posted a picture of singer who was popular over forty years. I recognized her and remembered her hit song, "Yes, I'm Ready". I began to think to myself, yes, I am ready, that is, for the next step.

I am grateful for the 21 day meditation challenge. I not only meditate with many people, I also keep a journal and I write long entries because I need to see what is on my mind and what is in my heart. This has been a way for me to take the next step.

I had not thought about my own web site for a long time. Yesterday, I went on wix and looked at possible pages that I could resonate with. I even thought to myself, maybe I will hire a professional just to get me started. All of this occurred from that simple question, what is next?

Meditation

Contemplate on: Yes, I am ready.

Affirm: I am ready for the next step.

Path to Silence: Breathe and notice your breathing. Take deep breaths and exhale slowly. Go into the silence for at least three minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Every day is a good day...it depends on how you look at it.

Intention: Purpose, Meaning
Dictionary.com

Setting an intention and staying focused on it brings it into reality.

Friday was the day my nine year old granddaughter was in a summer camp talent show. I set an intention that I was going to that show since I missed her last summer in the show; of which she sang a solo.

As the time came near to preparing to leave for the camp I began looking for my long distance glasses that transition to sunglasses and then I starting looking for my prescription sunglasses and to no avail. The only glasses that I had left were a pair that I carry in my purse to look at print close up.

I told myself that I would be fine. After careful preparation, I stepped outside and the blaring sun took over. The glasses from my purse does not have a tint. I got into my car and on the way I went. I have never been to this camp before so I hoped that I remembered how to get there.

To get to the bottom line, I made it to my granddaughter's talent show and enjoyed it very much. My granddaughter was very pleasantly surprised to see me. She left her friends and came over to where I was seated. She sang her solo beautifully and then later in the program she did a duet with a friend. I enjoyed every minutes of the talent show and later I returned to my car and drove home safely.

Just as I drove into my driveway, I decided to look in the eyeglass holder in my car and guess what...my single lens glasses were in this container. I took a few more deep breaths and went into my house and went straight to my desk and glanced over at the corner of the monitor on my desktop and what do you think I saw...my prescription sunglasses.

I did not let the circumstances described above bother me. I continued knowing I would be able to drive to the talent show and return home safely. I also put it in my mind that I would enjoy the show and my entire day. I had a fantastic day. Everyday is a good day depending on how you see it.

Meditation

Contemplate on: I am one with the Creator of the Universe.

Affirm: I co-create with Spirit by making good choices. I choose all sides of a day, favorable or unfavorable as infinite possibilities.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

In the stillness...my answers come..

How does one make decisions that are for the highest and best good of everyone?

Most of us make decisions based on our experiences. That may not be for the highest good of all concerned. I think if we pray before making a decision and allow Spirit to flow through us allowing us to make a decision in love and with love for the good of all concerned...this will be a decision for the highest and best good of everyone.

Meditation

Contemplate on: My mind is quiet.

Affirm: I still my mind, letting the right answers come through that are for my highest best and the good of all concerned.

Path to Silence:  Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Go into the silence for at least 3 minutes.

Losing your power...

Losing our Power...is it possible?

The highest power is love. Love has to be expressed. Your first lover is you. When I truly feel that I love me, it shows up in my life as honor, integrity, peace, healthy relationships, health, prosperity and harmony. I see others honor me, respect me, love me and radiate peace towards me. I feel very powerful during those times. It is when I am feeling less than that I feel others have taken over my life. I realize that this is not true. It's just that I allowed myself to be in a lower form of energy that attracts things that look different from what I desire or expect. I try to practice loving myself first and letting that love spring forth into my reality. This I feel is taking my power back. As I grow, it becomes easier to maintain my power or to regain it. I know that I never really lost it. I also realize no one took it or can take it unless I allow the opposite of love to creep into my world, then it seems as though, someone took my power. I let go and let God each day. I am sending love to all who come into this space today and know that love reaches every corner of the Universe.

Meditation

Contemplate on: God is power.

Affirm: God is love...God is power. All that God is so am I.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Talking to oneself...

When you say to people, yes, I talk to myself, they look at you funny. When in fact, when you meditate, it is better to use a guided meditation in your own voice. It is very powerful. This could be considered, talking to oneself.

Recently, I made a meditation CD for myself and decided to make more of them. These CDs help to put into my subconscious mind the thoughts that serve my highest and best good.

These CD(s) can be put onto your iPods and played as often as you would like to.

This is a practice that I suggest to those who I work with when spiritually counseling others. This technique is powerful and works. It does not have to be long.

Sit quietly and contemplate on a change in your life that you would like to see. Write these thoughts down in an affirmative form. It is pleasant when there is soft music playing as you are reading these powerful statements. Try playing the CD for 21 days or more and watch the change take place.

Meditation

Contemplate on: I am choosing positive thoughts.

Affirmation: I am choosing positive thoughts that are for my higher good.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Looking for Love...

~Love~ is a great feeling or affection for something or someone irregardless of faults or flaws. Lovely LadyFran

There are many forms in which one can express love.
There is love for parents, children, nature, careers, talents, skills, the arts and of course a person to share the most intimate part of ourselves with. It is a yearning that people have that leads to a lifetime trip sometime without much success.

We often spend a lifetime making our exterior bodies over to attract love and we even become someone we are not in hopes to attract love.

Yes, most of us are looking for love. We look in many places except within where the lover resides waiting for you to recognize it. It's not very often that I have witnessed two people who come to the alter knowing that love was within and waited for the right time to caress it gently and through the union of marriage express their love for one another.

What a wonderful opportunity to share in the union of two families and learn a lesson all at the same occasion.

When love reveals itself in others, there are many observers. Today, I was an observer to love. It felt wonderful. I felt my heart tremble with joy to witness this love.

I attended a wedding today that brought so many elements into the ceremony. All ancestors  past and present were honored through Libation. We were not all of one denomination, yet, we all recognize that we share or are all part of the one Spirit, one Soul and one Love. We realize that there is only God and therefore there is only Love.

Love begins with self. We must get in touch with the lover from within and then the manifestation of our true lover who resides in all of us will appear. If you have not found that lover yet, just keep on loving yourself. That love will show up when you least expect it to.

Meditation

Contemplate on: I am love.

Affirm: There is only God and God is love. I am love. Love lives in me and all of creation. The love I see in me  is the same love that I see in another.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths, then go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Staying with Higher Thoughts

Thought is energy that moves through all of life. We, humans, have the right to use this power for our highest good and the good of all concerned. It is so easy to fall into lower thought form because all you have to do is accept all thoughts that come into the mind as yours. If you have not been aware then no wonder what you see in your world does not make you happy or fulfilled. With time, practice and intention, it is just as easy to choose higher thought form. It does require awareness.

It takes 21 days of doing something or reaffirming an affirmation for this thing to become a habit. This is a tool we can use to help choose the way we wish to think and it becomes a habit and therefore automatic.

Many people think that lower thoughts just happen. They seem to be easier because the mind wanders and accepts thoughts that pass through the mind. If you are unaware of this then, you are taking a passive role in forming your reality. Just because you do not actively participate in directing this power that you have within you, does not stop the universal law from working. You see, the universal law is automatic and is no respecter of male nor female, black not white, rich nor poor or kind nor greedy. The law acts in a reciprocated manner. What it receives it returns in kind, only two-fold.

When you understand that your thoughts are things waiting for you to give it form to manifest into your life, then you are taking responsibility for what your world looks like in spite of what you see around you with your physical eyes and senses. In time, when you choose to accept your highest thoughts, you will see the manifestation in your world.

Meditation

Contemplate on: I only accept my highest thoughts.
Affirmation: I am accepting the thoughts that are for my highest good and the good of all concerned. I am in alignment with the wholeness of God.
Path to Silence: Exhale and allow the air to leave as you release. Now, take a deep breath and exhale deeply. Take two more deep breaths and then exhale deeply. Go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Vipassana...insight into the true nature of reality...

Vipassana-  In Buddhism it means Insight into the true nature of reality.~Wikipedia

"The Dhamma Brothers"was a documentary about a group of men with life time sentences without parole and a psychologist who believes that the incarcerated and especially the lifers should be rehabilitated rather than being housed for the rest of their lives. This prison was in Alabama. The psychologist brought into the prison a meditation program, "vispasana".

The corrections officers and other personnel believed it made a difference. Because of political reasons and the fact that the prison was located in a Christian region, the program was cut.

Rick Smith, one of the inmates, daughter was murdered. It was the meditation program that brought him to the realization that he could choose to react positively toward the person who murdered his daughter. Although imprisoned, the inmates, who participated in the program realized they were still at choice. So Rick Smith chose to love his daughter's murderer because the murderer was still a human being.

Meditation

Contemplation: I choose how to react in situations.

Affirmation: I am always at choice. I choose to respond positively in my life's experiences.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep breaths and then go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Grateful...grateful...grateful.

There can not be enough said about being grateful. I wake up grateful for the day and knowing there are so many opportunities for me to serve others.

Manifestations are happening faster than before. I think about something that I desire and when I look around, like magic, I see it in my reality. I am not only speaking about manifesting things. I am speaking of being grateful for people in my life and what I have right now.

I am becoming more understanding of others. Believe it or not, life becomes more joyous when you do not place such high expectation on friends and family making it impossible for family and friends to reach. Life is becoming easier to accept and not because things are going my way. Even when things are not going my way, I still love life. I consider this growth on this journey. Sometimes, it does take listening to another person's story to put things into proper perspective. I can still say that I love who I am and would not trade my life for anyone elses.

Meditation

Contemplate on: I am grateful.

Affirm: I am grateful for what I have now and what I am receiving right now.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths and go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Just being in the flow of the Source.

When I was a child growing up, my mother and family spent time together on Sundays resting and just being together. There were other family days spent in the neighborhood park, with friends and family at picnics and sitting around engaged in conversation. People back then worked hard but knew when to stop and catch their breaths.

Today, people never stop and wonder why we are always stressed out. We all need to shut down and stop trying to figure life out. This life is flying by quickly and we cannot figure out where time has gone. So today, I practice being in the flow. I did not spend a lot of time trying to figure out my life today.

Meditation

Contemplate on: I am in the flow of a loving spirit.

Affirmation: I am trusting that my Source (God...my loving spirit) is taking care of all of my needs.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths and then go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Ideas + Enthusiasm

~Ideas~   thoughts, conceptions, a notion. Dictionary.com
~Enthusiasm~   eagerness,warmth, fervor, zeal, and devotion. Dictionary.com

Sometimes we receive ideas and we do not know what to do with them. I recently received an idea that I did not know what to do with it. I know it felt like a good idea to share a documentary with as many people as I could. This documentary had to do with; science through the use of DNA shows that every human being who is alive today originated in Africa. Through the DNA it can be shown the paths that each group who left Africa took. It is through DNA that gives us as a Human Family the true story of our origin, why we look the way we do and why we left in the first place.

I shared this idea with the minister at my church. The minister was excited and showed enthusiasm. I shared the idea and what I had seen in this documentary with two more people and they became excited. When I stopped to take a breath, there were people who were now enthusiastic enough to ask to be part of this project. Yes, it is now a project. This film is going to be shown at my church as part of a series. The next two films have been put up for discussion and be voted on if we want to make them part of the series. We have a large committee and it is a wonderful feeling to see how an idea can grow. What if I had kept this idea to myself? Someone else would have done this project. A great idea cannot be hidden or buried. Ideas or thoughts originate in the mind of God, the Creator.

I believe enthusiasm is a very important part to growing ideas. This one certainly has grown very nicely, I might add. I am looking forward to presenting this film with a panel for discussion in the fall of this year.

This can happen when an idea comes into your mind and you receive it with enthusiasm. We are allowing this project to unfold as Spirit guides us through the process. I am enthusiastic about this project.

Meditation

Contemplate on: God is giving me good ideas.

Affirm: God is giving me great ideas and enthusiasm to make my ideas manifest for my highest good and the good of all concerned.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Go into the silence for at 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Stress

Stress~strain...Dictionary.com

I recently watch a documentary produced by the National Geographic Network called "Stress: a portrait of a killer.

Stress according to Dr. Sapolski out of Stanford University is not a state of mind. Stress is specific and is built into our bodies in a particular place, the adrenalin, put there to protect us. Stress was meant to get us through and then leave. In our human society, we cannot seem to turn stress off.

Dr. Sapolski is a scientist, who works with students at Stanford University and who also works out of Kenya, Africa with a population of Baboons, which he says is a good model for human beings.

Making choices, making changes...being consistent.

Change~Something that is made different from what it is.

Consistency~Steadfast adherence to the same principles, courses or form. Dictionary.com

We are making choices all the time. I choose to change my dietary lifestyle and I desire to be consistent with this intention. It is not easy  although, I pray, meditate, visualize, vision and read inspirational materials. Each one of us still has to "do the work". Prayer and spiritual practices are necessary parts of the plan.

Although, I release and let God, I still have an active part in the process. I pray for strength and consistency in order for this manifestation to take place.

I feel this is true for any change that is desired in life. Visioning, visualization, prayer, meditation and inspirational materials help. All of us must take action as well as pray. Finally, we release our desires and needs into the Mind of God, that part of the Law that knows and manifests all things into our reality.

Meditation

Contemplate on: Change and consistency are a part of me.

Affirm: I am consistent and I am open to receive the changes that I desire.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths and now go into the silence for at least 3 minutes.

Divine Unfoldment...

Divine unfoldment...Unwraps and reveals what is meant to be. Lovely LadyFran

I watched a TV show about a man who has pyschic powers. His friend needed a heart transplant and through his sister found out his old friend was the one with these powers.

This man asked the psychic, if he would receive a heart. The psychic was glad to see the good news through his ability that his friend would receive a heart and it would be compatible with his body.

Later, the psychic decided to dig deeper and realized through his psychic powers that the heart the man would receive was his sister's heart. The psychic was upset because he wanted both the old friend and his friend's sister to both live. The psychic went to a person very influential and asked if he would pull strings to give the the heart on the list to his friend. This influential person was also a minister and thought that this change of events through manipulation would change life's natural course.

The psychic decided to go to the person who was the one who would be responsible for his friend's sister's death. Only this man who had a history of driving and drinking was going to have an accident on that particular day and it would be a bus with children. The psychic finally got it and allowed the events to unfold as they must.

Sometimes, we do not like the way things turn out. If we have faith and trust our Source (God), all things will work for our greater good. We must let the Divine unfoldment take place and know that we are where we should be and will get through whatever is for us.

This does not mean that we can not make better choices for ourselves but we must let our lives and others lives unfold divinely and in divine order.

Meditation

Contemplate on: I am listening to the Spirit...to the Holy, Holy Spirit.

Affirm: I am listening to the voice of wisdom within me. I am aligned with wisdom and right action. I follow the guidance of God.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths and then go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

I'm missing you...

Death... is the place where we end the chapter in our book of life and is the right place to begin a new chapter on our eternal journey. Frances Johnson, RScP

Death is an impatient gesture of the soul, wishing to rid itself of the body, no longer useful. The Science of Mind, page 478 paragragh 1

When it's time to leave the earth plane, most of us are not ready. We wonder what is next. All that we have studied and have been told are beliefs that were passed on to each of us.

Even most times the survivors are not ready for our loved ones to go. I have been thinking about this with so many people leaving the earth. We the survivors are left to live on without the physical form that we have come to know and become familiar with. It is alright in my opinion and belief to grieve, to feel sad, cry and just not be ourselves but only for a time. I am not sure what amount of time is right for each one of us. What I do believe is if we trust "God" to lead and guide us, we will know when to stop grieving and move forward in our lives.

What do we say to the survivors? Just be present and encourage them that their loved ones would want them to live fully although they are no longer here in physical form. Do listen to the grieving person and try not to become so philosophical or religious at this time. Most of these kinds of conversation are being receive on deaf ears. There is usually plenty of time later to talk and share some of your wisdom. If a person comes to you for advise, use wisdom when speaking with people who are going through this experience.

I experienced the transition of my brother, a year ago and I wanted ears to listen to some of the experiences that I had shared with my brother. I wanted to be around loving people. When I was alone, I remembered how kind some of my friends and family had been to me. This is something we can all do. We must find our own way to be supportive in situations like these.

Meditation

Contemplate on: There is a peace and comfort that is within me that surpasses human understanding.

Affirm: I am in the arms of my Father within and so is my loved one who has moved onward and upward.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep relaxing, cleansing breaths. Go into the silence for at least 3 minutes.

Sometimes we have great ideas that come to us and we sit on them. We will eventually see that idea in our reality because someone else received it and did not sit on it. We may even wonder how did "my" idea reach that person. Ideas are divine and are available to those with open minds.

Meditation

Contemplate on: Creativity is part of me.

Affirm: God has placed creativity within me. I receive many creative ideas that are manifested in my reality in Divine order.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Reach out and touch...

Reach out and touch somebodies hand, make this a better world if you can. Sung by Diana Ross

If, someone is not around for a certain period of time, I feel compelled to reach out to that person. Sometimes we feel a need for a "time out" from family, friends and routines. We still want to feel that others realized that we are not in their midst and miss us.

I have found in my experience that those that I have reached out to were very receptive. There are many ways to reach out. A phone call, an email, a text, a post on Facebook, a hospital visit or a visit to someone's home are few ways that I reach out to another person. Let's reach out and touch someone today.

Meditation

Contemplate on: I am reaching out to others.

Affirmation: When I reach out and touch others, I am touching my myself.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths, then, go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Affirm: The Source of my supply, the Source of all things lives within me.

An answered prayer...

Valentine's Day!

February 14th is a day of chocolates and flowers and much more. I did not have any special plans to do or go out on this love day. As a matter of fact, everyday is Valentine's Day with me. I do love the one day that we have taken as a holiday.

Both my grandchildren were not feeling well and were with me on Wednesday. My granddaughter was taken to the hospital after I took her temperature and it was over 104 degrees and rising. Since the hospital did not keep her, I took my granddaughter and my grandson on Valentine's Day.

They both came with the love that they have shown me all along. They had a Valentine's gift for me and they consider it a treat to spend time with me. I adore them and they adore me. That was enough of a gift for me.  I made natural juices and homemade soup and kept their glasses filled with water and gave them vitamin C and a probiotic all through the day. At the table, my grandson would reach over and just take my hand in his little hand and smile at me. My granddaughter who is a diva already stilled showed her love for me. In spite of them not being 100% themselves, we had fun.We watched movies through the wii console and they played with the mii people and we just enjoyed being in each others presence. We made a date to have Chinese food next week and spend more time together.

This is actually an answer to a prayer that I released awhile ago. There was a time when I saw them frequently and then it went to not seeing them hardly at all. I did nothing more than pray believing that circumstances would change and I would see them as often as I like and that prayer has been answered. I am grateful!

Meditation

Contemplate on: what I desire, I already have.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Relax and focus on the breath. Go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Let your words be kind...

Words: a unit of language that consists of one or more spoken sounds or their written representation. Dictionary.com

"Say what you mean... mean what you say." Mrs. Ellis (my fifth grade Principal)

Allow the words that leave your mouth to be kind and uplifting. You never know how long your words will stay with someone. Words are powerful. Most times when we react to someone, some emotion is welling up within us. When we say something to another person, let us mean what we say and let those words be kind.

Meditation

Contemplate on: I use only words of kindness to uplift myself and others.

Path to silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

I begin my day with thoughts of Peace...

I find myself writing about peace quite often. Each time I write about peace, I see a different vision because I change my perspective about the word or idea and therefore, I have new thoughts and receive a different outcome or manifestation. Let us look at the same words and concepts in a new way in order to create new experiences.

Meditation

Contemplate on: I choose to think peaceful thoughts today.

Affirm: Peace begins when I awake and my first thoughts are of peace, love and joy. I am surrounded by peaceful people and peaceful circumstances.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Peace a state of mutual harmony between people or groups; and in personal relationships. (2) non-warring conditions of a nation, groups of nations and the world. Dictionary.com

Peace is what most of us want and are working towards. Let peace begin with you.

Meditation

Contemplate on: Peace

Affirm: Let peace begin with me. I am at peace.

Path to Silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Calm...

Calm: Freedom from agitation. Still or stillness. Tranquility, Serenity.

When we say... be calm, it does not mean that anything will change just by being still. I think we know that we can not do anything in a state of chaos. This is why we need to calm ourselves. In this calmness, peace is revealed. Love is also present. We are now on our way to a solution to whatever the problem is. We can now see and feel in ourselves or whomever is helping us, at that particular moment, that all is well.

Meditation

Contemplation: The word is C A L M.

Affirm: My whole being is in a state of calmness.

Path of silence: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Go into the silence for at least three minutes. (You may go into the silence for less than three minutes or more than 3 minutes. It is up to you.) Lovely LadyFran

Eating the rights foods for your body...

I treated my grands to pizza yesterday and usually I fall off the wagon and eat with them. When I ordered their pizza, I ordered one where I put only vegetables on 1/2 half of the second one.

For my dinner, I prepared chicken and steamed vegetables. When the pizza arrived, everyone was looking forward to opening the boxes and eating pizza. It looked unusually good. I had one small taste and then I served the pizza to them and I ate my prepared meal. It felt good to stay with the plan.

Meditation: Contemplation:  For week of January 7, 2013

I am present in this moment...

I have started my gratitude jar. I have much to be grateful for each day. One of the things that I am grateful for is being able to adapt to change. I did not say that I adapt easily to all change but I can say that I am on my way. It is amazing when you change your perspective on things, those same things begin to look different. I feel at peace, calm and I am quiet and still. I feel present in this moment.

Meditation: Contemplation: I am present in my body in this moment. I am at peace. I am still. I am calm. I breathe slowly and I am one with the Holy Spirit. I am aware of my oneness with Spirit. Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Be in the moment and just sit and breathe for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Letting go of the old to make room for new...

One day I noticed how cluttered my house was. It is so easy for things to accumulate. Once I made up my mind to get rid of the clutter, it was a good feeling just to make the decision to do so. After the things were donated or put in the trash, I felt very light. I realized later that I was preparing for something new. This is true for letting go of thoughts that no longer serve us. We are preparing for something new.

Meditation: contemplate on, I release those thoughts that no longer serve me. I think only positive thoughts of peace, love and joy. Take 3 deep cleansing breaths and go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

After the storm comes the calm...

Someone shared that they went to make a layaway payment on merchandise that was being kept in a store. An anonymous person paid their balance off along with others.

I just said to someone not even a month ago that we would start to see random acts of kindness. I believe this is going to become more and more frequent. Isn't it said, after the storm comes the calm? We have been seeing some ugly behavior from people recently. Even if there is more ugliness, the calm is definitely giving us a glimpse of what could be.

Meditation: contemplate on, I am shining my light in the world for all to see. I hold steadfast in my faith that peace, respect and harmony is manifesting right now. Take 3 deep cleansing breaths and go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Life is a mystery...

Before Dr. Eben Alexander underwent his journey, he could not reconcile his knowledge of neuroscience with any belief in heaven, God, or the soul. Today he is a doctor who believes that true health can be achieved only when we realize that God and the soul are real, and that death is not the end of personal existence but only a transition. Raymond A. Moody, M.D., Ph.D., author of Life Beyond Life

No matter what we think we know, something can happen to us to make us re-think what we really believe. It usually happens when we  go through a traumatic experience.

With all the faith that most of us profess, I believe we all would like to know, for sure, where do we go after life on earth. I speak with people who just do not want to discuss it and others who need for someone that they consider to be spiritual to have an answer.

Our insights have come from people who experienced near death experiences, sages and mystics throughout the ages. People who are only convinced through science and medical research have allowed themselves to believe that when a person dies, this is the end of life.

Like minded people like myself want to believe that this is not the end of life and in fact life continues. These thoughts have recently filled my mind because I am reading a book by Dr. Eben Alexander, who is a medical doctor (a neurosurgeon) and is the author of Proof of Heaven. Perhaps, this book can give us more insights into this topic but will not tell us for sure what we want to know because life is a mystery and each one of us has to experience the truth for ourselves.

Meditation: contemplate on, life is a mystery. I keep the faith that in time, I shall know what I am suppose to know, that is, the truth. I continue to live life fully now. Take 3 deep cleansing breaths and go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

Keeping a gratitude jar...

I am starting a gratitude jar the first day of the new year. I was unable to find an empty jar so I am using an empty cookie tin. Each time something good happens or I receive a blessing, I will write it down on a note and put it into the tin. At the end of the year, I will dump the contents of the tin out and review all the wonderful blessings that occurred during the year. We do forget sometimes that we are being blessed all the time. Reviewing the year of keeping a gratitude container serves to remind me that I am constantly being blessed.

Meditation: contemplate on, I am being blessed all the time. I am grateful. Take a couple of deep breaths, breathing out slowly through parted lips. Take one more deep breath and then go into the silence for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran

January 2, 2013...the day after the new year.

The day after...

At the end of a year, there is hope and gleam in the eyes of most people. Then the new year begins and it seems the same as the year before. The job is the same and the same bills come to be paid on time.

So, how is this year any different from the previous one. It appears to be the same because it is the same. Now we get a chance to respond differently to the same circumstances. In responding differently to the same circumstances, new circumstances show themselves. The more we look at what may seem like old hat and respond not just differently but more positively we are changing the old world order. It is we who make the same world appear different through our responses. Why would we respond differently to the same situation? We respond differently to the same situation because the old response did not get us the outcome that we desired. A response comes from thinking about something. If our response is different to the same situation then we must have changed our thinking.

When you change your thinking, you change your life. This is how our new year can be for us if we consider changing our thoughts, thoughts that did not serve us. When we consider new thoughts and they serve us and everyone around us then the situation changes and so does our world.

I will continue to affirm peace, love, harmony and joy for me, my family, friends and everyone in the world. I believe this year is only the beginning of many positive changes that we will see and experience throughout this new year. I am hopeful that peace is just a breath away.

Meditation: contemplate on, I am hopeful that peace is just a breath away. Wherever I am, joy, health, love, harmony and peace greets me and embraces me. Take a moment to notice your breathing. Exhale slowly, letting out any stale air or thoughts. Now, inhale deeply and exhale through parted lips. Take another deep cleansing breath and exhale through your nose. Take one more deep cleansing breath and exhale through parted lips. Relax and notice your breath. Sit quietly for at least 3 minutes. Lovely LadyFran
